The Kuru Kingdom

The Kuru Kingdom was an ancient Indian kingdom that existed during the late Vedic period and the early Mahajanapada period. It was located in the region that is now known as the modern-day state of Haryana in northern India. The Kuru Kingdom was known for its powerful kings and their involvement in the Kurukshetra War, as described in the Hindu epic, the Mahabharata. The Kuru kings were also known for their patronage of Vedic culture and learning, and the kingdom was considered to be one of the most important political and cultural centers of ancient India.
