The Kingdom of Nepal

 The Kingdom of Nepal was a sovereign state in South Asia that existed from 1768 to 2008. It was located in the Himalayas and bordered India and Tibet. The country was ruled by the Shah dynasty of kings, the last of whom was King Gyanendra. In 2008, the country became a federal democratic republic following a popular uprising and the abolition of the monarchy. The capital of Nepal is Kathmandu. The official language is Nepali. The country is known for its diverse cultural heritage and its famous Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world.
