 The Gupta Empire was an ancient Indian empire that existed from around 320 to 550 CE. It was founded by Sri Gupta and was known for its cultural achievements, including advances in science, mathematics, and art. The Gupta period is considered to be a "Golden Age" of Indian history, and the empire's rulers were known for their patronage of scholars and artists. The empire was eventually conquered by the Huns and dissolved.
