The Garhwal Kingdom

 The Garhwal Kingdom was a kingdom in the northern Indian region of Garhwal, which is currently located in the state of Uttarakhand. The kingdom existed from the 8th century CE to the 18th century, and was ruled by a dynasty of kings known as the Kanakpal dynasty. The kingdom was known for its strategic location and its control of important trade routes, and played an important role in the politics of northern India during its existence. The kingdom was annexed by the British East India Company in 1803, and was subsequently incorporated into British India.
