Short Biograpy of Rani Lakshmi Bai

 Rani Lakshmi Bai was the queen of the Maratha-ruled state of Jhansi in North India. She was one of the leading figures of the Indian Rebellion of 1857 and became an icon of resistance to British rule in India. She was born in 1828 and was married to the Maharaja of Jhansi, Raja Raja Rao at the age of 14. After the death of her husband, she took on the responsibility of ruling Jhansi. She trained herself in sword fighting, horseback riding, and shooting and led her army into battle against the British during the Indian Rebellion of 1857. She died in battle in 1858. She is widely considered as one of the most powerful and respected female rulers in Indian history.
