Short Biography of Samudragupt

 Samudragupta was a powerful ruler of the Gupta Empire in India during the 4th century CE. He was the son of the previous Gupta ruler, Chandragupta I, and expanded the empire through a series of military conquests. He is considered to be one of the greatest military geniuses of ancient India and a patron of the arts. He was also a great patron of the arts and his reign saw a flourishing of Indian culture and the emergence of the "golden age" of Indian classical art. He is also known for his policy of religious tolerance and support of various religious traditions. He died in 380 CE and was succeeded by his son Chandragupta II.
