Short Biography of Raja Raja Chola I

Raja Raja Chola 1 was a king of the Chola dynasty, which ruled southern India from the 9th to the 13th century. He reigned from 985 to 1014 CE and is considered one of the greatest emperors of the Chola dynasty. During his reign, he expanded the Chola kingdom to include present-day Sri Lanka, parts of Malaysia, and parts of the Indian subcontinent. He also built the famous Brihadisvara Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. Raja Raja Chola I is known for his military conquests, administrative reforms, and contributions to the development of South Indian architecture and culture.
