Baji Rao 1 was the Prime Minister and general of the Maratha Empire in India in the early 18th century. He was born in 1700 and was the son of the Maratha leader, Balaji Vishwanath. Baji Rao was known for his military tactics and led a number of successful campaigns for the Maratha Empire, expanding its territory significantly. He is considered one of the most successful military leaders in Indian history. He died in 1740 at the age of 40.
